Francis “Brink” Hinson is an associate with the firm, focusing his practice in commercial litigation and catastrophic personal injury cases. He joined Janet, Jenner & Suggs in 2007 after serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Ralph King Anderson, Jr. on the South Carolina Court of Appeals.

During law school, Mr. Hinson earned academic recognition on the dean’s List and was the recipient of the University’s 2004 Karen Lee Award. He served on the University of South Carolina Law Review, was a member the Trial Advocacy Bar, and competed on the school’s mock trial team. While working on his juris doctorate, Mr. Hinson also earned an International Masters of Business Administration degree from the Moore School of Business, graduating at the top of his class. While in business school, Mr. Hinson served as a teacher’s assistant in the statistics department.

He is admitted to practice before all courts in the state of South Carolina and the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina. Mr. Hinson is a member of the American Association for Justice, the South Carolina Association for Justice, the Richland County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.

Away from the office, he sits on the regional board of directors for the American Lung Association and is an active member of Rotary Club International. He also coaches local high school and middle school mock trial teams.
